Sludge Treatment

Sludge treatment plays a critical role in environmental sustainability and the protection of water resources. It encompasses various techniques to manage and process sludge, a byproduct of wastewater treatment and industrial processes. This section will delve into two crucial aspects of sludge treatment: Biological Sludge Treatment and Dredging Sludge Management. Understanding these processes empowers industries and communities to effectively manage sludge, thereby safeguarding water resources and promoting ecological balance. By implementing these techniques, we can contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable future.

DREDGING SLUDGE

Dredging is essential for the navigability of ports and waterways for water and flood management. In line with the Circular Economy concept, dredged material can often be reused in several ways. Contaminated sediments, even if they occur in small volumes, can only be reused after special treatment. Contaminated sediments and their end use are subject to strict environmental limits. Carmeuse has developed the StabiCalco® product range to meet the requirements for the dredging sludge treatment.
