On April 10, the Maple Grove operation presented a check for $400 to Atkinson Elementary School in Fremont, Ohio, for the purchase of four bicycles to help the school reward students who achieved perfect attendance in the 2017-2018 school year. This is the second year in a row that Maple Grove has donated money for prizes to the school’s perfect attendance rewards program.
Students who had perfect attendance are entered in a raffle where they have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes at the end of the school year. The school started the raffle to show students the importance of coming to school every day.

Kevin Stevenson, Process Engineer at Maple Grove, presented the check to Atkinson Elementary Principal Chris Ward. “Carmeuse is extremely excited to help Chris as he and his staff teach these young children that good things will come through hard work and persistence,” he said.
