Employees at the Longview operation participated in a Back to School Supply Drive to benefit the Alabaster City Schools. As part of our efforts, donation boxes were placed throughout the plant and quarry for employee contributions from July 19 through August 5.
Additionally, Carmeuse partnered with our local Staples office supply store by participating in their Teacher Appreciation event, which gave the community an opportunity to help support our local schools too. As a result, we collected over 815 school-related items.
“It’s great to see our employees really get behind this type of activity because education is so important,” said Sybil Owens. “We were so pleased to deliver that many items to Alabaster City School, where they will be put to very good use.”
