Carmeuse Teams Share Knowledge, Boost Safety and Efficiency

IN Commercial Sustainability

The Carmeuse company-wide initiative Knowledge Sharing in Action proved once again, that the more you know and the more you share, the better off everyone will be. Recently, the Carmeuse Georgia Fillers Mine group and the Engineering group shared their knowledge to create a safer environment for Carmeuse employees operating scaling excavators.

After some discussion, it was determined that replacing the OEM cab guard on the Caterpillar scaling excavator with a Pierce Pacific aftermarket cage protector, would provide better protection to the excavator operator within the cab. The replacement cage sizing and configuration provides superior protection from direct impact to the top of the cage.
