Carmeuse Luttrell Gives Kids Head Start on Education

IN Commercial Sustainability

Luttrell, TN - At Carmeuse Lime & Stone, rocks are what the company is all about. And when it comes to learning about rocks—where they come from, how they are mined and how they are used—the people at the Carmeuse Luttrell Operations figure it's never to early to start, so they were more than happy to provide a tour for a busload of kids from the Douglass Cherokee Head Start Program. The kids had been studying about rocks in school; having the opportunity to see some real rocks and the impressive equipment used to process them was an exciting opportunity.

The kids had a great time and many of the Carmeuse employees were happy to serve as tour guides and provide a safe and educational visit.
