Carmeuse Dundas supports Men’s Street Ministry bring hope to the homeless

Carmeuse Dundas supports Men’s Street Ministry bring hope to the homeless

The Carmeuse Dundas Operation, Ontario, recently donated $1000 to the Men’s Street Ministry in the nearby cities of Hamilton and Branford, supporting the ministry’s efforts to provide food and clothing to the cities’ homeless.

Men’s Street Ministry has been working with the homeless of Hamilton since 2016, adding Brantford in 2001. Established by Chaplain Roger Boyd and his wife Janet with a pot of soup and some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, the work has since grown and now provides clothing and 300 meals, twice a week, to those in need.

“The work of the Men’s Street Ministry takes on renewed importance as we enter Fall and temperatures begin to drop. We are privileged to be able to offer our support to Roger, Janet and all those who volunteer for the ministry as they bring a little bit of hope into the lives of those who need it most,” said Sylvia Alvarez of Carmeuse Dundas

In addition to the financial support, the Dundas Operation is also holding a used clothing drive in support of the Men’s Street Ministry.
